Christmas 2008

Christmas last year was really nice. It was different than the other years.

In Germany we celebrate on Christmas Eve. My parents, brother and I always are at my grandparents. We never celebrated at home. My grandpa has been dead for many years now, so now its only my grandma and our family. We normally make an awesome meal, take a nap, eat cake (that's something European I think, some ppl over here do that everyday, eat cake and drink tea or coffee), go to church and then eat dinner. When we were smaller we had to go upstairs until my grandparents would ring a bell. Then we would play the fluit, sing songs and stuff like that!

Today we don't have to do all that to get our presents!!

This year was my fist year to not go to church. My grandma didn't feel up to that, instead they watched it on TV later. So this year was different. We did our Christmas Eve in the afternoon!! We got many presents and had fun watching everyone unwrap!

After that my brother, my dog and I drove to his girlsfriends parents house. Now that was awkward for me.

Weeks before I didn't like the thought of that at all. I felt I should be with my parents and instead we were headed to a house I had only been to once before.

On the way there we ran over a cat. I can still hear that phlumb. Hmmm...

I actually ended up having a great time. We had great food and a lot of fun. Lenas (my brothers girlfriend) foster brother was there. He is 30 and has downsyndrom. He is really adorable.

We really had a great time. The next day we had a huge breakfast and after that Lena, my brother Benni, Momo my dog and I headed to my aunts house. She lives in an old farm house, it's HUGE!

On the 25th we always go there. It's the day ALL the aunts, uncles and cousins get together. We aren't many, my dad only has 2 siblings.

I enjoy being there. We eat a bunch of food, later on cake and then we get to open even more presents! It's so much fun to watch everyone, talk to them and eat good food!

Everythings bigger in Texas

OK I just found out I was able to add a TITEL!!!! WOW how exciting!!!

After travelling through Wymoing we flew to Texas!! I just LOVE Texas!!
I spend an amazing year there 2003/04. I was 16/17 and had the chance to be an exchange student. I had the most awesome host family and I have enjoyed travelling back every year!!

I haven't kept in touch with many people there, but the ones I have, I just love so dearly and I don't ever want to live without them in my live.

We spend a total of 4 weeks in Texas near Dallas.. We also got to visit my councelor from school who took us to downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, my hostmoms sister in Austin, my "mexican brother" in College Station. We went on a trip to San Antonio and really just had a blast!!

We spent a lot of time with my hostsister and her darling two kiddos. I just love them. I was able to be there right after Kiefers birth to help out a little. Those 4 months were wonderful. I miss all of them a lot....

Ok so after HOURS of shopping, all our money was gone, we had WAY too much stuff for our suitcases and we were totally tired!!! We spent ALL DAY at an Outlet Mall! It was awesome!!!

Lake Ray Roberts!

We went on a roadtrip. We spent a total of 10 days in Wyoming. 5 of these days we used to travel. We drove through the Yellostone Park, to Nebraska to visit my moms best friend in the states. My mom grew up in a small towns in Nebraska. I love visiting our friends there. I haven't been there in years.










Isn't that just a beautiful place to live??
I just love their home. It's kinda far away from town but I thinks it's just awesome!! I wouldn't mind living there for a while!!

WOW.. I am finally starting this.
I made this blog almost half a year ago. I wanted to update my family and friends while I was travelling the states with Nicole. Well I obviously never started.

Until now!!!

That's just so me! I am starting this now, even though I should be studying for my exams that are coming up next week.

Do you know that feeling?

Whenever it's this time my appartment is so clean, you could eat off the floor. And that even though I have a dog!!
Whenever it's that time ALL the dishes are clean.
Whenever it's this time the laundry is done, the windows are clean, the dust is gone, the dog gets loooong walks, I talk on the phone for hours...
Whenever it's this time I read many books, take long showers, cook many meals, look for interesting recipes, read random blogs and go shopping.
Well I am sure I will start studying tomorrow!!!
(I might be exaggerating a little, but only a little)
