Mothers day is around the corner..

I know Mothers day isn't until May but I had this idea since Christmas. Ever since then I wanted to make my mom some of these and I was just waiting for the right time.
I think it's finally around the corner.

I know it's quite simple to guess what I am making.....

I painted 50, wait FIFTY, yeah that looks better, clothes-pins... That part was NO fun, but oh well... it's finally done...I found some AWESOME wrapping paper at a craft store and got busy cutting out the little images. I glued those on cardboard when I was done...

And then I had some fun......

I just LOVE how they turned out!!

Capturing Beautiful Moments...

When I watched this little girl I decided to bring along my camera along. She lives on base in Germany and her dad is in Iraq for a whole year now. He left a couple days before she was able to walk. She will get to see him for 2 weeks in June and then he will be gone for another 6 months. I can't even imagine what that is like, but I hope these pictures bring joy to her mom and her daddy. These are a couple of my favorites. I sent a cd with over 200 edited pictures to her mom. I LOVE editing pictures. It is so much fun to watch how I can change a picture completly with only a few clicks.

- Clinging on for dear life -

What really distracts me from what I should be doing at the moment is clinging. (I sure hope this is the right word, I had to look it up and am not 100% sure) I am clinging on to someone, someone I shouldn't depend on anymore. I want to let go but it is very hard and painful. I am working on it and it is getting better from day to day. I know there will be many tears over the next few weeks, but I also know that my heart will eventually heal...
I feel like the lion in my picture. I am clinging on so hard, that it doesn't feel as if I am living my own life at the moment.. This feeling has taken over my whole body.
I know I should rather be clinging on to Him and that is what i am working on very hard...

Meet Katharina!!!

She is my cousin!!

She has Down-Syndrome!!

She is 25!!

She likes to perform!!

She is full of life!!

Her joy is contagious!!

She is NOT shy at all!!



She is gorgeous!!

I love spending time with her! She is the sweetest person I know. She loves to tell stories, give kisses, cuddle, tickle other people, ride horses, color mandalas, set the table and one of her biggest passions is to puzzle, she can do puzzles with 2000 pieces. Her room is a mess, you have to watch where you step, but you feel life as soon as you enter!
During the day you either find her doing puzzles or coloring, but at least once a day you will find her dressing up and putting on ABBA and she will start dancing. She doesn't understand the words but she knows the songs by heart. She knows her moves and everything.
Another thing she LOVES to do if workout. She will dress up in the right attire and then you will find her lifting weights, doing jumping jacks and a bunch of self-invented moves!!
It's quite entertaining!!

She has huge influence on me and I think it is because of her that I would love to adopt a child with down syndrome! This is something that has been in my heart for quite some time now...

And who doesn't want a house filled with love, laughter, fun and crazyness?

Today was THE day! We got all the ingredients to make 6 different kind of cookies!!
I basically can't look at any cookies anymore. I have NO CLUE who will be eating all this stuff!
I might have to give some away as gifts for xmas!!
