I HATE snow, I HATE the cold, I HATE having wet feet..
I spent an exchange year in Texas. The only day we had snow there was on Valentines Day. I really enjoyed the warm weather there. OK, sometimes it was just WAY TOO HOT!! But I always preferred being hot, than cold.
When I am too hot I can take a shower, go to the pool, drink something cold. I can still go outside and enjoy going for walks. When I am too hot I still live a normal life.
Well if I am too COLD though everything changes. I get depressed, cold weather makes me sad. I don't know what to do with myself when the weather sucks.
During winter it gets dark here around 5pm and it stays that way until 8 or 9am. I dont like that at all.
So I have literally always hated winter. I have preferred staying inside where its warm, drining chocolate milk, reading a book, watching TV, playing games. Everything but going outside.
All this changed a couple of months ago...
Oh.. dont get me wrong, I still hate winter over here and one day I will make sure to only have the cold wheater when I choose so.
I have lived in Weimar now for almost 2 years. I grew up near Frankfurt and our winters there were never really snowy.
This year has been the snowiest year in my entire life. We had snow for over 3 weeks straight. And bevor that we had snow and after that too..
This year I wasnt able to just sit inside, watch tv, drink chocolate milk or read a book every time I was cold and wanted to avoid the outside.
Momo is the reason why I started enjoying going outside even though there were two feet (I tend to exaggerate a litttle)of snow.
I have to wear pantyhose. I cant really remember the day when my legs last got to breath. Well they do get to breath during the night and under the shower.
So whenever I go outside I wear my pantyhose, then a pair of pj bottoms and then my pants. I like to be warm. I wear a t shirt, a longsleeve, a sweater, 2 pairs of gloves, a scarf, a cap, my hood, 2 pairs of socks over my pantyhose, warm shoes and a really warm jacket..
It takes quite some time to get ready, but once I am, I go outside and enjoy this:
I really could care less because I have so much fun going for long walks with Momo, throwing balls for him, taking my bike out so he can run, watching him play with other dogs, see him eating snow or swiming in the river or drinking out of a puddle.
I sound like a mom, but all I am is a proud dog owner... Getting him from the pound really was the BEST DECISION EVER!!!

So off we took in her little car. The good part it, France is only a little more than an hour away from my parents house!! So it wasn't too bad!!
