MckLinky and other random stuff...

There’s a great new “linky” service available and I wanted to let you know about it. It’s called MckLinky – www.mcklinky.com. After realizing the need for a new, reliable linky capability, Brent Riggs and MckMama got together to create a free, easy to use linky service for all their blog friends.
MckLinky is a free link list feature that allows you to do include lists of other blog links like MckMama does on Not Me! Monday. You can use MckLinky any time you want your blog readers to leave a list of links on your blog. It’s simple, reliable, free...and loads of MckFun!

Well there are 3 weeks of school left for this semester. After these 3 weeks I have 2 finals on a monday and wednesday, the week after that I have a summer class 3 days in a row with a presentation on the first day. So not looking forward to that. Plus I have to write two 12 page papers until August 3rd! Right now I dont htink I will be able to get all of this done.
I hate the last couple of weeks in a semester. Every semester I told myself to get more done during the semester, but I was NEVER able to do that. I need pressure to get things done.. This sucks...

Summer finally got here yesterday. It hit hard and I am trying to get used to it. It feels so muggy and humid outside and I would rather stay indoors!!

I started a hands-on-training in a kindergarten last week. Oh yeah I forgot to meantion. Right now I only work 12h a week there but the first 3 weeks of August I will work 40h a week, plus my other job that i have to make some money...
The kids sure are fun, we play outside most of the time. My group has 19 kids age 3-4. I already have two favorite kids there. Sooo darling. I just want to kidnap them! ;)

I will give you an example of my day!!
Twice a week I have to go to work. Today was one of those days. I get up at 5:30am, take a shower, eat my müsli then around 6:05am I head out to work. I walk through the park and to the store I work in. I start around 6:30 am. We organize the store, work off the new stuff that came in and then sort stuff out. We get a palette (?) of stuff, and have to work them off. My aisle has shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotions and soaps..
I work there 3 hours until 9:30. I go home, eat my second breakfast and then head to the kindergarten. I stay there till 5pm and then head home. I get home and eat something warm since I am starving, then I go to the park with my dig and let him play until he is pooped..
I get home, check my mails and go to bed..

Right now I am between checking mails and going to bed and its only 9pm. Thank god I have class tomorrow and can sleep in until 6:45 ;)

Well that was it for now...

Nikon or Canon?

This was my trip to Borkum a couple years ago!! I really had fun! Our family has a trailer there so a trip to this island is really cheap! It rains a lot there but we were lucky and had many beautiful sunny days!! Ohh how I wish I was going on vacation this year! But I wont. So I am sitting here looking at pictures of all the trips I went on..

Since I wont be going on vacation this year I am thinking about buying a good camera! Not the best camera but one that is good for beginners! I need a camera that I can learn photography with. I have no idea which one yet but this one (Nikon D40) seems good after reading reviews.

I am open to other opinions though!! :)

Footprints in the sand....

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

Mary Stevenson, 1936

I like this poem.. I know it is true. In times that sucked so bad for me or my family I can now look back and see that He was carrying me/us. I often think I wouldnt be where I am right now if He hadnt been there.

After I was left after a 2 year relationship I was devastated. I thought I wouldn't survive. I stopped eating, I stopped living, I escaped. I couldn't live there anymore, so I left and lived in the states for a couple of months.
I never thought I could look back to that time without crying. I now am able to look back. I can't smile, I dont think I ever will be able to do that, but I am able to look back and see that God was there and guided me. He wanted me to leave before I could harm myself any more. Actually I cant remember that relationship anymore now. Its kind of weird. I can remember the time but not the time we had together. I guess that is just a way of protecting myself, its quite convenient! ;)

There were other times that I know He was there.. He picked me up before I could fall..

I am thankful for God. I am thankful that I now have a relationship with Him. I know many ppl haven't let Him in their lives yet, and I havent until a couple of months ago... It took a long 22 years until I was able to do so. The sad thing is that for me something bad had to happen to realize He was there. I hope for other people they can find him before they are in a devastating situation.
